negatives from which the Vintage Images are produced are from the
private collection of Robert and Caroldene McEver of Talmo, Georgia.
The photo artist, Richard Stone, produces the prints
from these original negatives.
Richard was born in 1952 in Talmo, Georgia.
He graduated in 1997 from North Georgia Technical College with a 4.0
GPA in the Commercial Photography program. His specialty is
black and white fine art photography. Exhibits and lectures at
Brenau University, Crawford Long Museum, University of Georgia, and
the Athens Clarke Heritage Foundation have been very well received.
Cicero C. Simmons prints are now in their permanent art collections.
Richard has provided lectures, slide shows, and
exhibits to local church groups and historical societies on Simmons'
glass plate photography. He has been featured on the cover of
Athens Magazine and in many other publications. Richard is a
freelance photographer and pursues a career in fine art photography
and photo restoration. He maintains a residential studio, a
black and white darkroom filled with restored vintage equipment, and
the latest in digital imaging equipment. |
